Joy Eakins Enters Gubernatorial Race to Lead Kansas Comeback
WICHITA, KS – Today, Joy Eakins announced that she is running to lead the Kansas Comeback as the next Governor of Kansas. Joy announced her entry to the Republican primary for Governor with a video, which you can find here.
“Kansas is at a crossroads. The dawn of America’s Golden Age is here thanks to President Trump. But Kansas is behind, and Kansans could miss this historic opportunity,” said Joy Eakins. “I’m running for Governor to lead the Kansas Comeback.”
Joy is a Christian, an America First Conservative, a mom, and a small business owner who is sick of watching Kansans fall behind. She started and built one of the most successful data analytics firms in Kansas. In 2023, she served as chair of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. Joy overcame adversity in her childhood and earned a full ride to both college and grad school, earning degrees in advanced mathematics.
Joy served on the Wichita Board of Education from 2013-2017 and fought for parents' rights, fiscal responsibility, and advocated for education reforms that improved student outcomes, rather than throwing money at failing systems.
As Governor, Joy will:
- Focus on preparing Kansans for the jobs of our bright future;
- Eliminate absurd regulations choking our economy and the California tax policies bankrupting our families and chasing companies out of Kansas; and
- Root out the Left’s cultural rot preying on our children and the most vulnerable in our community.
“Kansas should be the best place to raise a family, start a business, get an education, and live the American Dream. In Kansas, you should smell opportunity in the air,” continued Joy Eakins. “I’ll stand with President Trump to ensure America’s Golden Age doesn’t pass Kansas by.”
